COLCHESTER, Vt. - Sophomore guard Nicole Caggiano tied all players with a trio of 3-point field goals and 17 points Sunday, as the Queens College women's basketball team dropped a 62-41 decision to Saint Anselm College in the second and final day of action at the DoubleTree Tip-Off Classic.
Caggiano (Holtsville, N.Y.) was 3-for-6 from long distance, and dished out a team-high three assists. Classmate Alexandra Marshall (Manorville, N.Y.) led all players with five steals on defense, and added four rebounds. Sophomore Caitlin Hopkins (Holtsville, N.Y.) contributed seven points (5-for-6 FT) and six boards - the top mark of all Knights players.
Head coach Bet Naumovski's Knights are back in action Dec. 7, when they travel to Sparkill, N.Y., to take on Saint Thomas Aquinas College in QC's East Coast Conference opener.
