Knights drop game to Pioneers, 79-70

The Queens College Men's Basketball team dropped a crucial game against C.W Post by the score of 79-70. The two teams seem themselves on top of the ECC jockeying for position and control of the top spot.  The loss drops the Knights to 12-5 (9-3 ECC), while the win sees the Pioneers improve to 14-6 (11-2 ECC).

It what seemed to be a play-off like matchup, both teams traded blows back and forth the whole first half. Going into the locker room at half with the score knotted at 32-32, it appeared to be anyone's game for the taking. The difference in this contest was the Pioneers' Stefan Bonneau who went off for 24 of his game high 28 points in the second stanza. Bonneau was 9-19 from the field as well as 5-9 from three on the night.

Despite the loss the Knights had three players reach double digits for the game. Junior Khalil McDonald led the way scoring a team high 20 points on 8-12 shooting along with pulling down 8 boards. Senior Terrell Simmons added 14 points going 6-7 from the field and providing a solid effort off the bench. Senior Lamonte Lans rounded out the scoring for Queens by adding 11 points.
