Pace University came to Flushing and left with a 25-14, 25-14,
25-17 win over the Knights on Tuesday night.
The Setters took control of the match early in the first
set - scoring eight of the game's first nine points
- and never relinquished it. QC got as close as 10-15 on a Latoya
Edward kill but Pace answered by scoring the next five points to
take a stranglehold on game one.
Game two followed the same script as its predecessor with Pace
opening up an 8-1 advantage. Trailing 12-5, the Knights put
together five straight points to close to within a pair but Pace
quickly got those five points back on their way to another 25-14
win. The Setters then closed out the match by taking game
three, 25-17.
Edward led all players with 11 kills for Queens College while
Shea Hansen handed out 27 assists for Pace.
