The Queens College Women's Basketball team lost to visiting Adelphi University last night 78-62. The non-conference loss drops the Knights to 3-7 (2-1 ECC) while the Pathers improve to 4-4 (2-4 NE-10).
The Adelphi offense in the first half proved to be too much for the Knights to contain. Ashley Caiafa had 24 points, 17 if which came in the first twelve minutes and teammate, Kara Tancredi also contributed a double-double with 21 points and 10 rebounds to help in the Panthers effort last night. The only bright spots for the Knights were junior guard Amanda Bartlett and senior guard Christine Harnishfeger. Bartlett led the Knights with 21 points while Harnishfeger had 17 points going 5 of 9 from the field and 4 for 7 from beyond the arc and added 4 steals for the Knights.
