The Queens College Knights traveled to Dobbs Ferry N.Y to sweep the Mercy College Mavericks in three straight sets. With the win the Knights improve to 9-15 overall and 4-7 in ECC play. The Mavericks with the loss fall to 3-24 overall and 0-11 in conference play.
Queens opened up the match winning the first set by five with a final score of 25-20, this set the tone and the Knights never looked back. Jovana Pavolvic led the way for the Knights with 16 kills in 25 attempts and registering 20 points for her team. Ceren Kilic helped Jovana in her efforts with a great setting performance registering 26 assists. Teammates Alexa Santiago and Lisa Marie Papenthin both chipped in with 10 digs a piece. The Knights outscored the Mavericks by a total of 24 points, winning the second set 25-16 and the third 25-20.
The Knights have the weekend off and return to action next Tuesday Nov. 9th with their last game of the season at home vs. the visiting Pioneers of C.W Post University at 7pm .
