Edil Lacayo and Nicole Caggiano were awarded weekly honors by the East Coast Conference on Monday, November 15.  Lacayo, a junior on the men's basketball team, was named the ECC Player of the Week and Caggiano, a freshman on the women's basketball team, was named ECC Co-Rookie of the Week (an honor shared with Molloy's Jessica DeNicola).

Lacayo led Queens in scoring in their Saturday season-opener against Le Moyne College. In the 82-63 win, Lacayo scored 17 points (15 of which were from 3-point range) and was second on the team in rebounds with 6.

Caggiano led the team's scoring effort on Friday with 15 of the team's 60 points against Southern Connecticut State. She was 66% from 3-point range, making 2 of 3 shots. On Saturday, she tied for second in team scoring with 12 points. Caggiano finished the weekend with 27 points and 4 rebounds.

The men's basketball team will play next at Pace University on November 21 and the women will face off against Nyack on the road on the 16th.
