Crystal Gordon pounded out 16 kills in a 25-16, 17-25, 18-25,
25-22, 12-15 marathon loss to Alderson-Broaddus at the ESU State
Farm Volleyball Classic on Saturday afternoon. Earlier in the
morning ESU beat QC in four games.
Alexa Santiago added nine kills and 15 digs and Stephanie
Schroeder recorded 31 assists in the loss to Alderson-Broaddus, who
hail from Philippi, West Virginia.
East Stroudsburg University registered a 25-19, 25-17, 10-25,
25-21 win over QC in a match that began at 10:00 am. Latoya Edward
had a team high 14 kills and added 9 digs in a losing effort. In
support of Edward, Gordon had 10 kills and three block assists,
Stephanie Schroeder handed out 32 assists and Lisa Marie Papenthin
had 12 digs and three aces.
