Somadi Druker

Since her appointment as Head Men’s Tennis Coach at Queens College in 2015, Somadi Druker has transformed the program into one of the premier forces in NCAA Division II tennis. Under her leadership, the Knights reached their highest national ranking of number 32 and have become a consistent powerhouse in the East Region.
Coach Druker has guided her teams to six conference championships, three NCAA Sweet 16 appearances, and 11 consecutive NCAA regional championship qualifications. Her excellence has been recognized with seven East Coast Conference Coach of the Year awards, along with the 2024 and 2025 ITA Wilson Coach of the Year honors.

The 2024 to 2025 season was another standout year, with Queens finishing 18 and 5, capturing both the ECC Conference and Regional Championships, and earning a second straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance. The Knights entered the national tournament as the number 13 seed and concluded the year ranked number one in the East and number 32 in the nation. The 2023 to 2024 season was equally impressive, as Queens posted a 17 and 6 record, won both the ECC Regular Season and Tournament Championships, and saw Roni Rikkonen make history as the first Knight to win the ITA East Regional Singles Championship.

Before joining Queens College, Druker worked as a professional tennis instructor in Cape Town, South Africa, and competed as a student athlete at both Concordia College and Queens College. She earned her Master of Science in Education with a concentration in physical education and also serves as the Tennis Operations Assistant Director and Summer Camp Tennis Program Coordinator, where she continues to grow the sport’s impact on campus and in the community.

Beyond her coaching duties, Coach Druker is an RSPA Elite Professional and coach developer who trains the next generation of college and professional coaches. She also serves as the RSPA Metro District President and holds key leadership positions within the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, including Division II Men’s National Ranking Chair and member of the ITA Men’s Division II Operating Committee.

Through her dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence, Somadi Druker has built a program defined by success, integrity, and a lasting impact on the tennis community.
