Navraj Sandhu has been a member of the Queens College Department of Athletics since Fall of 2015, bringing over a decade of experience in athletic administration, operations, and communications.
He was promoted to the position of Assistant Athletic Director of Communication and Operations in the Fall of 2022. In his current role, Sandhu manages media relations and external communications for the Knights’ 16 NCAA Division II varsity sports. He oversees the department’s website and social media channels, serves as the official scorer at home contests, maintains athletic records, and coordinates game-day communications and operations, including live statistics, video streaming with FLOSports, and overall facilities management.
Sandhu joined Queens College in July 2015 as the Event and Facilities Coordinator, where he managed the athletic department’s equipment room and maintained a detailed inventory of equipment and supplies for all varsity programs. He was later promoted to Director of Operations, overseeing the day-to-day functions of the department, including game-day logistics, contract generation for athletic events, facility operations and management, and the upkeep of departmental vehicles.
Prior to joining Queens College, Sandhu gained experience in Sports Information at SUNY College at Old Westbury from 2012 to 2015, where he served as a Sports Information Intern. His duties included compiling and maintaining all-time statistics for 13 athletic programs, generating live statistics for sports such as soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, lacrosse, and baseball, and writing post-game recaps.
Sandhu earned a Master’s degree in Professional Studies in Sports Management from St. John’s University in 2016 and completed his M.B.A. in Project Management at Southern New Hampshire University in 2020.
