Navraj Sandhu was promoted to the post of Assistant Athletic Director of Communication and Operations in Fall of 2022.
Sandhu oversee all aspects of media relations and external relations of the Knights' 16 NCAA sports. He is also responsible for the upkeep of the department's website, www.queensknights.com, the management of the department's social media accounts, serving as the official scorer of home contests, maintaining the athletic records books, and overseeing game-day communication and operation efforts including live statistics and video streaming for all home contests.
Sandhu joined the Queens College Department of Athletics in July 2015 as the Event and Facilities Coordinator before being elevated to the role of Director of Operations.
In this capacity, he managed the day-to-day operations of the department in regards to game day operations, generating game day contracts for all athletic programs, facilities maintenance and oversight of various other operations of the department. Sandhu also is in charge of vehicle maintenance and upkeep.
In his time as an Event and Facilities Coordinator, some of his responsibilities included the management of day-to-day operations of athletic department equipment room; Sandhu also maintained a detailed inventory list of equipment and supplies for all of the varsity programs at Queens College.
Prior to Queens College, Sandhu worked in Sports Information at SUNY College at Old Westbury spanning from 2012-2015. As a Sports Information Intern, his duties consisted of producing and maintaining all-time statistics records for 13 athletic programs, he generated in-game statistics for soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, lacrosse, and baseball and write post-game recaps.
Sandhu graduated from St. Johns University in 2016 with a master’s degree in Professional Studies in Sports Management and graduated from Southern New Hampshire University in 2020 with a M.B.A. in Project Management
