Familiar with the East Coast Conference tennis world, Stephen Beatty joined the Queens College staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2018.

Beatty, who serves as the Tournament Director for the 2018 ITA East Regional Championships hosted by Queens College, was the head coach of the tennis programs at Daemen College from 2013-2018. He was also an Operations Assistant and an Assistant Coach for the Wildcats in prior seasons. Beatty was also the Assistant Head Teaching Professional at the Miller Tennis Center from 2006-2018.

Beatty earned his bachelor's degree from D'Youville College in 2013 where he also was a member of the Spartans' tennis program. He was also a member of the Northwood University tennis team that won the GLIAC Championship and made the NCAA Sweet 16 in his earlier career. Beatty served four years on the staff of the Eddie Herr International Tournament, the largest junior tennis tournament in the world with over 1800 participants from 90 countries. Beatty's tennis prowess also includes a bronze medal at the Empire State Games as well as a third-place coaching job for the USTA Tri-Level women's team at the 2007 national tournament.
