Lorena was named Most Valuable Player for both the women''s soccer and women''s track teams in 2009 at Townsend harris High School. She also earned Rookie of the Year honors for soccer in 2007 and for track in 2006.

Lorena has been featured on NY1 and in both the NY Daily News and the Queens Chronicle. She also has received the Upright Citizens Brigade Scholarship.
