Cheryl Vigo

Cheryl Vigo was a four-year member of the Queens College softball and women's basketball teams. Vigo played a major role in the softball team's success in the early 2000s. She was a two-time All-American (2001, 2003), a three-time all-region and all-conference selection (2000, 2001, 2003), and earned the Queens College Silver Knight Award in 2001 and 2003. Vigo garnered NYCAC Player of the Year in 2000 after hitting .432 with 38 RBI and a .729 slugging percentage. In 2001, she batted .450 with six home runs and 48 RBI, claiming All-America status. That season, Vigo led head coach Brian DeMasters' team to the NYCAC title and an appearance in the NCAA tournament. She capped her softball career with a .404 career batting average (.478 in conference), 197 hits and 139 RBI.
