Donna Orender | Class of 1978 | Women’s Basketball
Donna Orender was an All American at Queens, competing on the
1975 team that played the first ever women’s collegiate
basketball game at Madison Square Garden. After graduating, Orender
played three years of professional ball in the Women’s
Professional Basketball League, an experience that enabled her to
work in network TV sports at ABC and SportsChannel. Donna, who has
been recognized by Fox Sports as one of the Top Ten Most Powerful
Women in Sports, served for 17 years with the PGA Tour before being
named President of the Women’s National Basketball
Association. She currently serves as CEO of Orender Unlimited, a
company providing businesses with sales, marketing, media, and
diversity strategies.
