TENNIS CENTER REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY 

  • All purchases of court rentals, hitting sessions, lessons, lockers, memberships, parking passes, and tennis permits are final. The Queens College Tennis Center does not provide refunds.
  • All tennis court cancellations require a 24-hour cancelation notice. If a 24-hour cancelation notice is not given, the player/patron will not receive credit for the missed court rental.
  • Missed court rental sessions that fall within the Queens College Tennis Center’s 24-hour cancelation policy will be credited to the player/patron for a period lasting no longer than 60 days.
  • All lessons or hitting sessions must be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours prior to said lessons or hitting sessions. If the lesson or hitting session cancellation does not occur 24 hours prior to its commencement, then the player/patron will be charged the full amount of that lesson or hitting session.
  • In the event that the Queens College Tennis Center is inoperable or unable to open due to inclement weather, construction, repair, or when reserved for tournaments, NCAA matches, or special events the player/patron will receive credit for paid court time, lessons or hitting sessions.

Use of Outdoor Tennis Courts Policy

  1. Prior to entering the outdoor courts all players must present their permits to the Tennis Center staff or purchase their permits at the Queens College Tennis Center, Fitzgerald Gym, room 111A.
  2. If you are found playing on the outdoor courts without a seasonal or single-play permit you will be assessed a $25.00 fine.
  3. The outdoor tennis courts are open daily, weather permitting, except when under construction, repair, or when reserved for tournaments, NCAA matches, or special events.
  4. All players must wear smooth-soled, non-marking footwear on courts and appropriate attire such as sweatpants/joggers or shorts on the courts. Suction soled shoes, boots, dress shoes, open-toed shoes and running shoes are prohibited.
  5. All Players are allowed a maximum of (3) three balls per court unless the players are with a Queens College Pro, or a Queens College sanctioned Outside Pro.
  6. All Players are allowed a maximum of (4) four players per court unless the players are with a Queens College Pro, or a Queens College sanctioned Outside Pro. 
  7. There will be no coaching or giving of lessons by permit holders unless the permit holder registers his/her valid/current PTR liability insurance with the Queens College Tennis Center and pays the Pro’s fee.
  8. Glass bottles are not permitted on the outdoor tennis courts. No food/alcohol/drink other than water will be permitted on the outside Tennis Courts.
  9. All Players must clean and vacate the court when their rental session has expired.
  10. Locker-room and shower privileges are included with tennis permit purchase. If the permit holder utilizes one of the lockers for the day, the permit holder must ensure that they bring a key lock for the locker. If the permit holder wishes to purchase a locker for the year, the fee is $55 and can be purchased at the Queens College Tennis Center, Fitzgerald Gym, room 111A. If the permit holder does not purchase a locker and leaves his/her personal effects in the locker he/she utilized for the day, the lock may be clipped by the Queens College Athletics staff.
  11. The Queens College Tennis Center and Queens College Athletics, CUNY shall not be held liable/responsible for any damages to, or loss of property stored in the aforementioned lockers. 
  12. All disputes, including but not limited to disputes concerning court reservations, permit ownership, and suitability of court conditions for play, shall be settled by the Queens College Tennis Staff member on duty.
  13. Parking privileges are not included with permits/tennis court rentals. All players must pay for daily parking at a cost of $5.00, a 6-month parking pass at a cost of $40.00, and a 12-month parking pass at a cost of $80.00. Failure to possess a valid parking pass/decal may result in public safety ticketing your vehicle.

    FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE OUTDOOR COURT USAGE POLICIES MAY RESULT IN A FINE, LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP, AND OR NON-ADMITTANCE TO THE QUEENS COLLEGE TENNIS CENTER AND THEIR TENNIS COURTS

Use of Indoor Tennis Courts Policy

  1. Prior to entering the indoor courts all players must present their Tennis Center membership ID card to the Tennis Center staff or purchase court rental time(s) at the Queens College Tennis Centre, Fitzgerald Gym, room 111A.
  2. If you are found playing on the indoor courts without a reservation you will be assessed a $25.00 fine.
  3. The indoor tennis courts are open daily except when under construction, repair, or when reserved for tournaments, NCAA matches, or special events.
  4. All players must wear smooth-soled, non-marking footwear on courts and appropriate attire such as sweatpants/joggers or shorts on the courts. Suction soled shoes, boots, dress shoes, open-toed shoes and running shoes are prohibited.

If you do not purchase a locker and leave your personal affects in the locker you utilized for the day, your lock will be clipped by the Queens College Athletics staff.
  11. The Queens College Tennis Center and Queens College Athletics, CUNY shall not be held liable/responsible for any damages to, or loss of property stored in the aforementioned lockers. 
  12. All disputes, including but not limited to disputes concerning court reservations, permit ownership, and suitability of court conditions for play, shall be settled by the Queens College Tennis Staff member on duty.
  13. Parking privileges are not included with tennis court rentals. All players must pay for parking per day ($5.00) or annually ($40.00 per 6 months, $80.00 per year). Failure to possess a valid parking pass/decal may result in public safety issuing a ticket.

    FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE INDOOR COURT USAGE POLICIES MAY RESULT IN A FINE, LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP, AND OR NON-ADMITTANCE TO THE QUEENS COLLEGE TENNIS CENTER AND THEIR TENNIS COURTS.
