FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College women's soccer team stays on the road as they return to non-conference play on Wednesday, Oct. 2 in Hooksett, N.H. against the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University.
The Knights will then open a season-high four-game homestand starting on Saturday, Oct. 5 against the Dolphins of College of Staten Island in East Coast Conference play.
In a two-game slate last week head coach
Thomas Paris and the Knights earned two shutout victories over Pace in a 1-0 win and a 2-0 win over D'youville.
Queens College Knights Preview (2024 Record: 4-3 Overall, 1-1 ECC)
- The Knights are coming off recording back-to-back shutout victories as they were led by senior forward/midfielder Julia Ragone's (Centereach, N.Y) two goals, and sophomore defender Ava Angiuli's (Wantagh, N.Y.) game-winner over D'Youville.
- As a team, the Knights have registered nine goals with 107 total shot attempts and 39 shots on goal.
- Ragone leads the team having recorded a team-high seven points with three goals and one assist to go with one game-winning goal.
- Ragone earned two Honor Roll spots this season for her offensive efforts.
- Six other Knights have recorded a goal in sophomore defender Lluvy Lewis (Valley Stream, N.Y.), sophomore midfielder Ashley Kieblesz (Middle Village, N.Y.), sophomore Jenna Rosenberger (Smithtown, N.Y.), freshman forward Abigail Jalocha (Maspeth, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Adriana Melgar (Queens, N.Y.) and Angiuli.
- The trio of Lewis, Kieblesz, and Angiuli have all earned an ECC Honor Roll spot.
- In goal, rookie Samantha Hines-Hirsch (Plainview, N.Y.) has earned all seven starts and has recorded 30 saves with a goals-against average of 1.47.
- Hines-Hirsch earned Defensive Player of the Week in the second ECC Weekly Report Sheet.
- On Sept. 30 the rookie goalie was awarded a Honor Roll spot for her first two career shutout performances.

- The Penmen enter the week with an overall record of 4-0-2 and are coming off a 2-1 victory over Assumption on Saturday afternoon.
- Wednesday will be the second straight meeting against the Penmen and the third overall in program history. It will be the first road meeting since September 18, 2013, when Queens fell 2-1 to the Penmen.
- The Knights defeated SNHU 1-0 in Flushing last year and are in search of their first road victory over the Penmen.
College of Staten Island Dolphins Preview

- The Dolphins enter the week with an overall record of 0-6-1 and 0-2 in ECC play.
- Staten Island is coming off a 0-1 loss to Roberts Wesleyan University in conference play.
- Saturday's meeting will be the fifth overall against the Dolphins with the All-Time series at 2-0-2
- Queens is looking for their first victory over the Dolphins since the 2021 season when the Knights earned a 4-2 road victory. The last two meetings have ended in ties.
