Men’s Soccer Announces 2024 Full Slate

Season Opener Set for September 5

Flushing, N.Y. – Coming off another historic season including capturing the program's first-ever East Coast Conference Championship in 2023, Queens College men's soccer head coach Frank Vertullo has announced the 2024 full slate.
 
The 18-game (10 non-conference/eight East Coast Conference) schedule features 12 home games and six road contests of which the Knights will compete against 11 teams that made their respective conference tournaments and will host the two-time NCAA Division II National Champions.
 
It will be a three-game homestand to begin the season as the Knights welcome Assumption University Greyhounds on Thursday, Sept. 5 to Flushing.
 
One of the biggest tests of the year comes early on as Vertullo and the Knights host the two-time defending NCAA Division II National Champions Franklin Pierce University Ravens on Saturday, Sept 6.
 
The early homestand concludes on Wednesday, Sept 11 as the Tigers of Holy Family University come to town.
 
A three-game roadstand opens on Saturday, Sept. 14 beginning with a trip to Rutherford, NJ against the Golden Falcons of Felician University. Following the trip to New Jersey, the Knights travel to New Haven, CT for a matchup against the Owls of Southern Connecticut State University on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
 
East Coast Conference play officially gets underway on Saturday, Sept. 21 as Queens travels to Rochester, NY against the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University.
 
It will be a home and away week to end the last week of September beginning with a non-conference contest on Thursday, Sept. 26 against the Griffins of Chestnut Hill College before concluding the month on the road in ECC play against the Saints of D'Youville University in Buffalo, NY.
 
The month of October sees the Knights open a season-best six-game homestand beginning with back-to-back ECC contests including a 2023 ECC finals matchup against the Firebirds of the University of the District of Columbia on Wednesday, Oct. 2. ECC play continues on Saturday, Oct. 5 as the Dolphins of College of Staten Island visit Flushing.
 
Queens takes a break from ECC play with three straight non-conference games beginning with the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University on Wednesday, Oct. 9 before hosting the Cougars of Caldwell University on Saturday, Oct. 12.
 
In the third week of October, the Chargers of the University of New Haven come to town on Wednesday, Oct. 16 before the homestand concludes with an ECC contest against the Wildcats of Daemen University on Saturday, Oct. 19.
 
Vertullo and the squad hit the road for the first time since September 28 beginning with a road trip to Dobbs Ferry, NY on Wednesday, Oct. 23 against the Mavericks of Mercy University.
 
The final road game of the season takes place in Sparkill, NY against the 2023 ECC Regular Season Champions in the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College on Sunday, Oct. 27.
 
The regular season comes to a close with back-to-back home games beginning with the final non-conference game of the year on Wednesday, Oct. 30 against the Yellow Jackets of American International College.
 
On Saturday, November 2 the regular season comes to a close as the Knights welcome the Lions of Molloy University to town in ECC play.
 
Vertullo and the Knights will be looking to successfully defend their 2023 crown with the ECC postseason picture set to begin on Thursday, Nov. 7.
 
The semi-final will take place on Sunday, Nov. 9 and the final slated for Sunday, Nov. 17. All games will be played at the Higher Seed.
