Nine M/W Outdoor Track & Field Knights Earn All-Conference Honors Thursday Afternoon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Competing in the East Coast Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship Thursday the Queens College men's and women's saw nine student-athletes earn All-Conference honors.
 
The men's side led the way with seven All-Conference honors, while the women's side had two Knights earn All-Conference honors.
 
On the men's side, the Knights placed fifth, while the women's side placed seventh in the Championship meet hosted by Roberts Wesleyan University.

Men's Highlights

  1. freshman Diara Guy produced two excellent outings as he placed third in the 200m with a time of 22.32 to set a new career and placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 10.78.
    1. The third and fourth-place finishes would earn him All-ECC Second Team honors.
  2. In the 200m Dash, freshman Kadeem Patterson placed fourth with a time of 22.33 to earn All-ECC Second Team honors.
  3. in the 10,000m Run junior John Ray placed third with a time of 32:46.57 to earn All-ECC Third Team honors.
  4. In the 110m Hurdles, sophomore Damilola Babalola placed second with a time of 57.41 before going to place second in the 400m Hurdles with a time of 57.41.
    1. The two second place finishes would earn the sophomore All-ECC First Team honors.
  5. In the Long Jump junior Hakeem Griffiths placed fourth with a mark of 6.60m to earn All-ECC Second Team honors.
  6. In the Javelin event, senior Fabian Tan placed first with a mark of 46.21m to earn All-ECC First Team honors, while senior Matthew Castro placed fourth with a mark of 40.96m to earn All-ECC Second Team honors.
    1. Tan's 46.21m mark would set a new career-best mark for the senior.

Women's Highlights

  1. In the 100m Dash Finals senior Khareena Primus placed second with a time of 12.28 before going to place third in the 200m Dash with a time of 25.33.
    1. Primus's second place in the 100m Dash would earn her All-ECC First Team honors, while the third place finish in the 200m Dash earned the senior All-ECC Second Team honors.
  2. In the Javelin event sophomore Madelyn McMath placed third with a mark of 31.64m to record a new career.
    1. The third place finish would earn the sophomore All-ECC Second Team honors.
  3. In the 800m Run, senior Fatima Morrobel earned a fifth place finish with a time of 2:19.25.
  4. In the 10,000m Run, sophomore Joy Leong placed fifth with a time of 15:33.32.
