FLUSHING, N.Y. - Last week it was two tough losses for the Queens College women's soccer team as they dropped both matches to the identical score of 1-0.
This week the Knights' schedule gets tougher as they welcome a pair of two regional ranked teams to Flushing beginning with a non-conference match against nationally ranked Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University to town on Tuesday. Queens concludes the week against defending East Coast Conference champions Mercy University Mavericks on Saturday evening.

Queens College Knights Preview (1-3-1 Overall Record, 0-1 ECC)
- Head Coach Thomas Paris and the Knights fell in a pair of 1-0 losses last week to Caldwell and Daemen.
- On Tuesday (Sept. 12), the Knights were awarded the program's first-ever East Regional ranking by the United Soccer Coaches as they were ranked 10th.
- Freshman rookie Lluvy Lewis (Valley Stream, N.Y.) leads the Knights with three points having tallied her first goal and assist against Jefferson.
- Her Career-best performance would earn her ECC Rookie of the Week honors on Week Two of the ECC Weekly Report Sheet (Sept. 11). (Link)
- Junior Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.) tallied her first career game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory.
- It would be her eighth career goal in 31 games in her time in Flushing.
- Her performance would help her land a Honor Roll spot in the ECC Week Two Report Sheet.
- In goal graduate student Erin Kelly (Massapequa, N.Y.) has recorded 23 saves in five matches holding a 1.24 goals against average.
- She was awarded ECC Defensive Player of the Week in the first ECC Weekly Awards released on Tuesday (Sept. 5) afternoon. (Link)
- On Monday (Sept. 11) afternoon Kelly would earn a Honor Roll spot on the Week Two Report Sheet.
Southern New Hampshire University Penmen Preview (3-0-1 Overall Record)
- SNHU enters Flushing with an overall record of 3-0-1 and are coming off a successful 1-0-1 trip in the Sunshine State against Lynn and Barry.
- Tuesday's meeting will be the second meeting in program history and the first one to take place in Flushing.
- In their lone meeting 10 years ago, the Penmen earned a 2-1 home victory over the Knights.
- The Penmen are led by Liv Gantelius who leads the team with three goals for a team-high six points. While Alyssa Anderson has recorded two goals for four points.
- In net, Claudia Keith holds a 0.50 goals against average having tallied two shutouts and allowed only two goals on the season.
Mercy University Mavericks Preview (1-2-2 Overall Record, 0-1-1 ECC)
- Mercy has opened the season with a 1-2-2 overall record and has the week off until Saturday evening when they visit Flushing for an ECC matchup.
- It will be the 24th meeting in program history with Queens holding an 11-10-2 series advantage.
- The Knights are in search of their first victory since the 2012 season when they earned a 3-2 victory at home.
- Queens are winless in their last 10 matches with the lone draw coming on November 1, 2014
- The Mavericks are led by five different goal scorers.
- While in goal, Kamy Anaya has made 15 saves and holds a 1.40 goals against average.

The Knights homestand concludes on Tuesday (Sept. 26) evening in non-conference play as the Lightning of Goldey-Beacom College visits Flushing.
