FLUSHING, N.Y. - Last week the Queens College women's soccer team went 1-1 with a non-conference loss to AIC before ending the week with an East Coast Conference victory over Lincoln for their first conference victory of the year.
This week the Knights open a three-match homestand beginning with a non-conference match against the visiting Greyhounds of Assumption University on Wednesday (Oct. 11) evening before concluding the week in ECC play on Saturday (Oct. 14) evening against the Redhawks of Roberts Wesleyan University.

Queens College Knights Preview (4-5-2 Overall Record, 1-2-1 ECC)
- Head Coach Thomas Paris and the Knights went 1-1 on the week as they fell 3-0 to AIC in non-conference play on the road before ending the week with a 3-0 over Lincoln in conference play.
- On Tuesday (Sept. 12), the Knights were awarded the program's first-ever East Regional ranking by the United Soccer Coaches as they were ranked 10th.
- Junior Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.) leads the offense having scored five goals for 10 points.
- To date, the junior has tallied 12 goals and four assists in 39 matches.
- Ragone has recorded a career-best four game-winners on the year in the victories over Jefferson, SNHU, Goldey Beacom, and Lincoln.
- On Oct. 9, Ragone was named ECC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time this season.
- The junior has been named to the Honor Roll sheet on three separate occasions.
- Freshman rookie Lluvy Lewis (Valley Stream, N.Y.) has totaled three points having tallied her first goal and assist against Jefferson on Sept. 6.
- Her Career-best performance would earn her ECC Rookie of the Week honors on Week Two of the ECC Weekly Report Sheet (Sept. 11).
- In goal, graduate student Erin Kelly (Massapequa, N.Y.) has recorded 45 saves in 10 matches holding a 0.98 goals against average with five shutouts.
- She was awarded ECC Defensive Player of the Week in the first ECC Weekly Awards released on Tuesday (Sept. 5) afternoon.
- Kelly has earned an ECC Honor Roll spot on two separate occasions.
Assumption University Greyhounds Preview (2-3-5 Overall Record)
- Assumption enters Flushing with an overall record of 2-3-5 on the year and are coming off of a 0-1-1 week in NE10 play.
- Wednesday's meeting will be the fourth meeting against the NE10 foe and the first meeting since the double overtime 0-0 tie on October 30, 2014.
- Kate Carleson leads the offense having tallied three goals for six points, while Ashley Wenzel has tallied five points with two goals and one assist on the season.
- In net, two goalies have earned starts making a combined 45 saves and hold a 1.60 goals against average.
Roberts Wesleyan University Redhawks Preview (8-1-2 Overall Record, 3-0-1 ECC)
- Roberts Wesleyan will enter Flushing with an overall record of 8-1-2 and 3-0-1 in conference play and are coming off a 1-0-1 week with a tie against Franklin Pierce and an ECC victory over CSI.
- It will be the 11th meeting All-Time against the Redhawks with Queens trailing the series 2-8.
- Queens is looking to end a seven-match losing streak against their conference foe as they look for their first victory since the 2014 season when the Knights earned a 1-0 home shutout win.
- The Redhawks are led by Alena Weibel who has tallied eight points for four goals, while Courtney Felton and Larissa Johnston have combined for six goals.
- In goal, Nicolette Knauf has started all 11 matches making 28 saves, and holds a 0.56 goals against average on the year.

The Knights conclude the homestand on Wednesday (Oct. 18) evening as they welcome the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College to Flushing.
