FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Queens College men's soccer team went 1-1 last week as they fell to St. Thomas Aquinas College at home before earning a victory over Molloy on the road as the Knights locked up a top-four East Coast Conference spot.
This week the Knights begin the week concluding non-conference play on Wednesday (Oct. 25) afternoon as they travel to Thomas Jefferson University. The regular season officially concludes on Saturday (Oct. 28) afternoon as the Knights welcome the Saints of D'Youville University in ECC play as Queens looks to lock up a third-place finish in the ECC standing.

Queens College Knights Preview (7-6-2 Overall Record, 4-3 ECC)
- Head Coach Frank Vertullo and the Knights went 1-1 on the week as they fell 1-0 to STAC at home before ending the week with a 3-0 victory over Molloy on the road.
- With one ECC match left on the docket, the Knights are fourth in the standing.
- A win over D'Youville will move Queens to third in the ECC standing.
- Sophomore Harry Cooke (Market Drayton, England) leads the offense having recorded 19 points for eight goals and three assists.
- Cooke has earned four ECC Honor Roll spots on the weekly award sheet.
- Senior Adolfo Martinez Paquet (Sevilla, Spain) is second on the team with 16 points having tallied three goals and a team-high 10 assists on the year.
- On Monday (Oct. 9) Paquet earned his second ECC Honor Roll spot of the year.
- Paquet has registered a point in 10 straight matches.
- In net, the Knights have featured four starters as they have recorded a total of 57 saves and hold a 1.73 goals against average.
- Senior Austin Matthews (Chico, CA) earned a Honor Roll spot on October 23.
- Junior Juan Cruz Ladino (Cali, Colombia) was named ECC Defensive Player of the Week on September 18.
- Sophomore Jake Balme (Sheffield, England) earned a Honor Roll spot on September 11.
Thomas Jefferson University Rams Preview (5-8 Overall Record)
- Jefferson enters the week with an overall record of 5-8 and are coming off a 2-1 victory over Felician Monday afternoon.
- Wednesday's match will be the seventh meeting between both sides with the Knights trailing the series 2-3-1.
- The Knights are looking for their first road victory over the Rams since the 2019 season when they earned a 2-0 victory on September 11.
- Gabe Paz leads the offense having recorded nine points for four goals and one assist, while two Rams have tallied five points on the year.
- In net, Matteo Crescente has recorded 51 saves and holds a 1.61 goals against average.
D'Youville University Saints Preview (0-11 Overall Record, 0-6 ECC)
- D'Youville enters the week with an overall record of 0-11 and 0-6 in conference play and will host Daemen before visiting Flushing on the weekend.
- Saturday's meeting will be the third meeting between both sides with Queens leading the series 2-0 All-Time.
- Ethan Robinson leads the offense having recorded four points for two goals, while Finn Savage has recorded three points with a goal and one assist.
- In goal, Jake Marks has recorded 85 saves and holds a 4.90 goals against average.
