Four-Game Homestand concludes as Women’s Soccer welcomes Post Tuesday Evening

FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Tuesday (Sept. 6), the Queens College women's soccer team's four-game homestand to open the 2022 season comes to a close as the Knights welcome the Eagles of Post University to QC Soccer Field.
 
Game time: 7:00 P.M.
 
Series History
  • Record: 2-1
  • Last Matchup: October 4, 2017 (W 4-1) | Current Streak: W1
  • It will be the fourth match-up in program history against the Eagles with the Knights holding a 2-1 advantage.
  • It will be the first home game against Post since the 2014 season when Queens fell 1-0.
  • Queens has outscored their opponents 5-2 in three games.

Queens College
  • The Knights are 0-3 on the season.
  • Senor goalie Ariana Vargas (Brentwood, N.Y.) made a combined 13 saves in two games last week including tying a career-best seven against St. Michael's College.
  • Sophomore Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Knights.
  • On Monday (Aug. 29), the East Coast Conference office awarded Ragone a spot on the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll Sheet. (Link)
  • The Knights have been picked to finish fifth in the ECC Coaches Preseason Poll.
Post University
  • The Eagles are 0-4 on the season.
  • They have been shut out in their last two games.
  • Hailey McGee leads the offense with five points having scored two goals and one assist.
  • In goal, Imelda Lazara started four games and has made 27 saves on the season.
  • The Eagles have been picked to finish 9th in the CACC.
UP NEXT: On Saturday (Sept. 10), East Coast Conference opens in Buffalo, N.Y. as the Knights match up against D'Youville University Saints. Kick-off is set for noon.
