FLUSHING, N.Y. – Non-Conference play continues as the Queens College women's soccer team hosts St. Michaels' College Purple Knights for a Sunday (Sept. 4) afternoon showdown.

Series History

• Last Matchup: August 29, 2009 (W 2-1) | Current Streak: W1
• Sunday's meeting will be the second time both sides are matching up against each other since the 2009 season when the Knights defeated the Purple Knights 2-1 in Colchester, Vermont.
• It will be the first home against the Purple Knights.

Queens College

• The Knights are 0-2 on the season having fallen to Dominican and Chestnut Hill to open the season.
• Sophomore Julia Ragone (Centereach, N.Y.) scored the lone goal for the Knights in two games.
• On Monday (Aug. 29), the East Coast Conference office awarded Ragone a spot on the Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll Sheet. (Link)
• The Knights have been picked to finish fifth in the ECC Coaches Preseason Poll.

St. Michael's College

• The Purple Knights will open the 2022 season against Dominican on Saturday (Sept. 3) before visiting Queens on Sunday.
• Last season the Purple Knights went 6-7-4, 3-6-4 in the NE10.
• SMC has been voted to finish 11^th in the NE10 Coaches poll.

UP NEXT: On Tuesday (Sept. 6) the Knights' season-opening homestand comes to a close as Queens hosts Post University Eagles at QC Soccer Field. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m.
