FLUSHING, N.Y. – On Wednesday (Aug. 31), a three-game homestand concludes as the Queens College men's soccer team welcomes Chestnut Hill College Griffins to Flushing.

Queens College

• The Knights went 1-1 in the first week of play as they fell to Franklin Pierce in their season opener Thursday evening before bouncing back against Bentley Saturday evening.
• Led by Leo Pinto (Forest Hills, N.Y.) and Adolfo Martinez Paquet's (Sevilla, Spain) goals, Queens withstood a late charge from Bentley to pick up their first victory of the season.
• In goal, Dario Giovanni Cruz (Guadalajara, México) made two saves to help the Knights pick up the victory.
• On Monday (Aug. 29), the East Coast Conference awarded Paquet a spot on the Men's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll sheet for his game-winner against Bentley. (Link)
• The Knights have been slotted to finish sixth in the ECC Coaches Preseason Poll.

Chestnut Hill College

• The Griffins will be playing their first game of the season.
• Last season Chestnut Hill went 2-13-3. 
• Leading goal-scorer A.J. McIntyre returns after scoring eight goals, and two assists to earn Second-Team All-CACC honors as a rookie.
• In the CACC Men's Soccer Preseason Poll, Chestnut Hill has been slotted to finish 11^th.

UP NEXT: On Saturday (Sept. 2) Queens travels to Manchester, NH as they match up against Southern New Hampshire University Penmen. Kickoff is set for 4:00 p.m.
