Flushing, N.Y.- Non-conference play continues on Wednesday evening for the Queens College men's soccer team (2-1) as they travel to Philadelphia with a matchup against Holy Family University (0-2-1) Tigers. The Knights are 2-2-1 in their five-game series against the Tigers and will carry a three-game unbeaten streak against them on Wednesday.

Despite having held a 33-8 shots advantage against the Tigers, the Knights were forced to settle for a 1-1 double-overtime draw in Flushing. Freshman
Milton Sionakides had put the Knights up 1-0 with a goal in the 37
th minute. But the Tigers would respond in the 66
th minute to even the score. The Knights held 11-5 shots on goal edge but were unable to get past Tigers goalie Ryan Stock.

The Knights are coming off a 2-1 double-overtime winner against Bentley University as freshman
Leonel Zelaya(Amityville, N.Y.) scored the game-winner. Zelaya would score the winner in the 104
th minute of the game as sophomore
Tobias Holtz (Sachseln, Switzerland) delivered a cross from 19 yards out. In regulation, sophomore
Nicholas Tagios (East Williston, N.Y.) goal in the 88
th minute of play would tie the game up and send it into overtime. Junior goalkeeper
Dario Cruz (Guadalajara, México) made nine saves on the day after allowing the lone goal in the 16
thminute of the first half.
Zelaya was named East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, while Cruz earned a spot on the honor roll as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Scouting Holy Family University
The Tigers are 0-2-1 on the season with one of the losses coming in overtime. They have scored four goals on the season led by Georg Montag two goals, while Joel Richmond and Sean Touey have scored one goal apiece. Tobin Mark has started three games in goal playing a total of 260 minutes. Mark has made 12 saves on the season and holds a 2.42 goals against average on the season.
Next Match-up: East Conference play opens on Saturday (Sept. 18) as the Knights travel to Bridgeport, CT with a matchup against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights. Kickoff slated for 6:00 p.m.
