With the Knights' new profound energy, freshman

th minute of double overtime.

How It Happened
- After a quiet start to the game, the Knights found themselves trailing after the 16th minute as Patrick Ben McMahon put the Falcons up 1-0 after a failed clearance.
- The Knights looked to tie the game in the 22nd minute but Tagios shot was saved by Falcons goalie Markus Foehr.
- In the second half, the Knights put pressure early but were unable to find the back of the net.
- The Falcons would keep Knights' junior goalie Dario Cruz (Guadalajara, México) busy with three shots on goal but he would ensure the deficit would be a 2-0 hole.
- With the Knights getting outshot in the second half McMahon shot in the 88th minute would hit the right post which would have sealed the loss for the Knights.
- Taking advantage, Holtz delivered a long pass to the feet of Tagios and he would not waste his opportunity as he dribbled past three Falcon's defenders to ensure there was still more to play for.
- In the 89th minute sophomore Milton Sionakides (Astoria, N.Y.) would get one last attempt to steal the game in regulation but Foehr was up to the task.
- After getting out shot 20-10 in regulation, the Knights controlled the tempo in overtime. They would outshoot the Falcons 4-0.
- In the first overtime, junior Amadou Seck (Dakar, Senegal) had two shot attempts but was unlucky to not find the back of the net.
- In the second overtime, Sioakides shot failed to trouble Foehr in the 103rd minute.
- With the Knights continuing the pressure, Holtz delivered a cross from 19 yards out for Zelaya to head the game-winner in the 104th minute.
By the Numbers
- The Knights were outshot 20-14 (10-7 shots on goal).
- Cruz made career-high nine saves in net.
- Zelaya tallied his first career goal in Knights uniform.
- Tagios increased his goals tally to two on the year.
- Making his presence felt in the midfield, Holtz added two assists on the day.

Head Coach Frank Vertullo Post Game Comment: "That's a great win for us, especially early in the season. The equalizer with 3 minutes left and the winner in overtime were both quality finishes. I give credit to the boys for continuing to fight through the full 90 minutes. What we lack in experience we make up for in toughness."
UP NEXT: Continuing non-conference play, the Knights will travel to Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday (Sept. 15) as they go up against Holy Family University Tigers at 7 p.m.
