WEST POINT, N.Y. – After 652 days, the Queens College men's and women's indoor track & field teams returned to action as they participated in their first meet of the year.
The Knights traveled to West Point, New York to compete in the Crowell Open hosted by Army West Point Saturday afternoon. Other teams in attendance were division I schools Hofstra University, University of Albany, and division III school United State Merchant Marine Academy at Gillis Field House.
Crowell Open Highlights
- Freshman Fatima Morrobel (Long Beach, N.Y.) took first place in the Women's 800M Final (2:36.43).
- Sophomore Alexis Hall (West River, MD) earned a seventh-place finish in the Women's Mile Run (6:06.40).
- In the men's mile final graduate student Njehan Phillip (Brooklyn, N.Y.) took a top 10 finish with a time of 4:54.46.
- Junior Steven Cuascut (Queens Village, N.Y.) finished eighth in the men's 3000m final (9:49.29).
- In the 200m final freshman Olutoyosi Ajanlekoko (Queens, N.Y.) took an 11th place finish (27.72).
- Junior Robert Skidmore (East Islip, N.Y.)earned an eighth-place finish in the men's Shot Put field event.
- While Skidmore earned a 10th place finish in the men's Weight Throw field event.

Robert Davis and the Knights return to action in the New Year as they travel back to West Point, N.Y. to take part in the West Point Open on Saturday (Jan. 8).
