FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College women's soccer team concludes their fall season with a matchup against Daemen College Wildcats in Amherst, New York. Both sides have met each other seven times but after a 4-0-1 start in their first five games, the Knights have been on a two-game losing streak. After outscoring Daemen 12-3 in five games, Queens has held scoreless while getting outscored 4-0 in their last two games.

It was a balanced game as the Knights hung around with the Wildcats in Flushing. Queens outshot Daemen 8-7 with Victoria Ramirez leading the charge with 3 shots. But Daemen held the edge with a 5-3 shots on goal margin. The Wildcats would take a 1-0 lead just before halftime. The Knights would only obtain one more shot on target in the contest as Ramirez struck for a shot in the 74th-minute but would be denied by Wildcats goalie.

Queens enter the final game of their season with a
3-7-2 overall, 2-6-1 ECC record, and will look to create an upset to end their season on a good note. The Knights have scored 26 goals on the season and are averaging 15.9 shots per game. The offense is led by freshman
Jacklyn Diel (Stony Brook, N.Y.) and sophomore
Samantha Pinto (Jericho, N.Y.)who have combined for eight goals on the season. While freshman
Sarah Anderson (East Setauket, N.Y.) has tallied four assists and two goals on the season.
Scouting Daemen College Wildcats
Daemen College
(8-5-1 overall, 6-1-1 ECC) is looking to clinch a top-two seed and earn hosting rights for the upcoming East Coast Conference women's soccer tournament. A win over the Knights combined with a Mercy College or Molloy College loss will give the Wildcats a top-two seed. The Wildcats have scored 32 goals on the season and averaging 14.6 shots per season and have been led by Tatyjana Scalisi who leads the team with seven goals, five assists for a team-high 19 points. Brooke Amato and Faye Panagopoulos have combined for 10 goals. In Goal Tori DeLappi has started 14 games and has earned a combined three shutouts on the season. DeLappi holds 1.24 goals-against average and has allowed only 17 goals on the season.
