FLUSHING, N.Y.- The Queens College men's soccer team returns to non-conference play with a midweek matchup against Thomas Jefferson University Rams. Both sides have met four times with their last meeting coming in 2019. Queens won their first meeting over Jefferson in the short overall series. The Knights are have won and drawn one game on the road but home-field advantage has been unkind with two losses.

Queens captures their first win over Jefferson in the 2-0 win as Paul Hayes and Erik Hernandez scored in the second half to lead the way. The Knights held Jefferson without a shot on goal while attempting eight shots of their own. 
 
Scouting Queens College Knights
 
Hit by injuries, October has been unkind to the Knights (6-6 overall) with the Knights on a two-game losing skid and a 1-4 record in October. Sophomore Nicholas Tagios (East Williston, N.Y.) leads the Knights with eight goals on the season with a team-high 17 points. Tagios has scored three-game winning goals this season. Tagios has landed 17 shots on goals, while freshman Leonel Zelaya (Amityville, N.Y.) continues to be a threat on the pitch. The freshman has attempted team-high 36 shots, with 16 shots on goal. On the season he has complied 7 points with two goals and three assists.  
 
Scouting Jefferson 
 
The Rams are 3-8-2 overall and are on a two-game losing streak. Jefferson has scored 15 goals on the season with Jawara Mohamed leading the way with three goals and assists compiling nine points. Matteo Crescente has started 13 games in goal making 65 saves on the season while allowing 27 goals. 
 
Next Match-up: The Knights return to East Coast Conference play Saturday evening as they play host to D'Youville College in Central Islip to conclude October. Kickoff is slated for 5:30 p.m.
