Women's Soccer Unable To Catch Holy Family In Non-Conference Match

FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Queens College women's soccer team peppered 15 shots in a 1-0 loss to Holy Family Tuesday afternoon in non-conference action at QC Soccer Field.

Holy Family tallied the day's lone goal in the 38th minute.  Off a pass from Taylor Adair, Stefanie Ulmer squared up a shot and connected to the left corner for her third goal of the week.

The trio of juniors Erin Vernillo and Taylor Bonanno and freshman Brooke Delano each registered four shots apiece in the contest.  Late in the second half, QC rallied for five shots and pushed the tempo, but were unable to even the contest.

In net, Holy Family's Taylor Walker was credited with three saves.  QC goalkeeper Nicole Cranny made six stops.

The Knights are back in action Saturday afternoon against St. Thomas Aquinas in ECC action (12:00 pm).
