QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College men's soccer team fell to 0-2 in early season non-conference action following a 3-1 loss to Felician College Tuesday afternoon at QC Soccer Field.

In the contest, Queens outshot Felician 15-6 overall, and held an 11-0 advantage in corner kicks but were unable to strike for a goal until the 89th minute of play.

The Golden Falcons jumped out to an early lead in the seventh minute.  Following a Knights foul, Felician back Jovan Poggi sent a free kick on net, which forward Kenny Monfort headed in for his first tally of the season.

Jorge Pelayo pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 63rd minute.  Pelayo grabbed a loose ball that bounced off the game official.  After weaving in and out of the Queens defense, Pelayo got free and pushed a shot to the right side of the net past Queens goalkeeper James Brostowski.

Monfont picked up his second goal of the game in the 78th minute.  Following passes from Pelayo and Corey Telfer, Monfont snuck a shot into the right side of the net to give the Golden Falcons a 3-0 lead.

The Knights cut into the deficit with 65 seconds remaining in the contest when senior Aitor Gurruchaga headed in a corner kick from fellow team captain senior Glen Reid to the left post for the team's first goal of the season.
