Box Score QUEENS, N.Y. - The Queens College women's soccer team fell to sixth ranked University of Bridgeport 5-0 Wednesday afternoon in East Coast Conference action at QC Soccer Field. The Purple Knights strung together four goals in a period of just over 11 minutes in the first half, and never looked back.
In the 13th minute, Flo Gamby put Bridgeport on the board before Amanda Moura pushed the lead to 2-0 in the 19th minute. Jess Laszlo netted her first game of the contest in the 21st minute before scoring again in the 24th minute.
Laszlo's rebound goal off her own missed penalty kick in the 55th minute secured her third and final tally of the night, and completed the contest's scoring.
The Knights registered nine shots in the contest, including seven in the second half. Senior Nicolette Scrozzo led Queens with three attempts in the game.
Sophomore Megan Deak made four saves for the Knights, while Bridgeport goalkeeper Melanie Ziegner had one stop to go along with a team save.
Queens is back in action Saturday afternoon at 12:00 pm against LIU Post.
