Men's Soccer Stopped On The Road By Adelphi, 3-0

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - The Queens College men's soccer team fell to Adelphi 3-0 Tuesday evening in non-conference action at Motamed Field.

The Panthers jumped out to an early lead, benefitting from a foul inside the box during the 26th minute.  Alejandro Penzini then converted on the ensuing penalty kick attempt. 

Less than a minute later, Federico De Oliveira scored his first of two goals in the contest, pushing a shot to the left side past Queens goalkeeper, Robbie Webster.  De Oliveira added the game's final goal in the 67th minute, finishing a feed from teammate Caelan Hueber.

In net, Webster made four saves for the Knights.  Sergio Reyes registered four stops for Adelphi for the clean sheet.  The Panthers held a 15-8 advantage in shots, while corner kicks were even at three apiece.  Seniors Glen Reid and Paul Sandoval each contributed two shots apiece for the Knights.

QC is back in action Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm on the road at Daemen.
