OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The Queens College men's soccer team fell to NYIT 1-0 in its regular season finale Saturday afternoon.  As a result, the Knights picked up the third seed in the upcoming ECC Championship, and will face the second seeded Bears in the opening round.

NYIT netted the game's lone goal in the 44th minute of play when Simon-Peter Omooba found the goal off a quick pass from Ben Wilson at the top left corner of the box.

The Knights took seven shots in the second half, but were unable to find the equalizer.  NYIT Alavaro Cruz picked up eight saves while James Brostowski made three saves for QC.

The Knights outshot the Bears 11-7, and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.  Senior Paul Sandoval led the squad with shots on goal.

The two teams will face off in the ECC semifinals Wednesday, November 4, at President's Stadium at 12:00 pm.
