DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. - The Queens College women's soccer team fell to Mercy 1-0 Saturday afternoon in East Coast Conference action at Mercy Field.

The Mavericks registered a goal in each stanza, jumping out a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute on a tally by Alyssa Iannuzzi in the 36th minute.  Alexandra Modlinski extended the margin to 2-0 in the 74th minute.

Junior goalkeeper Megan Deak made seven saves in the net for the Knights, who were outshot 18-1 in the game.  Mercy additionally held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Queens welcomes Dowling to QC Soccer Field on OCt. 27 for a 3:30 pm tilt.
