Bridgeport, CT. (September 19, 2012) – The Knights women's soccer team opened up ECC play with a 1-0 loss in overtime against the Bridgeport Purple Knights to go to 4-2-1 (0-1-0 in ECC).

The game was scoreless after regulation as Knights senior goalkeeper Allison Breakey saved all 7 shots that went her way.  The Knights only had 3 shots on the evening with one in each half and one in OT.  The shots on goal by senior Lorena Russi and junior Kristina Ikonomou were saved by Bridgeport's keeper, Julia Hansson.

In overtime, Julia Colley headed the ball past Breakey in the 94^th minute to give Bridgeport their 2^nd ECC win (3-3-1 overall).

The Knights return to action on Saturday September 22^nd when they visit ECC opponent Dowling College at 1 PM.
