Knights Men's Soccer Play To 2-2 Tie Against St. Anselm

Flushing, N.Y. (September 13, 2012) – The Knights men's soccer team played to a 2-2 tie against the St. Anselm Hawks in 2 overtime periods. Their record is now 2-1-1 in the 2012 season.

The Knights built a 2-0 first half lead thanks to goals by junior Danny Stoker and graduate student Eric Clermont (Clermont's first as a Knight).  The Hawks battled back however, and evened the score with two unanswered goals, the second coming from Bruno DaSilva near the end of regulation (at 83:25).

In the 2 OT periods, the Knights could not get any of their 8 shots passed Hawks keeper, Eric Moriarty and the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

The Knights will finish off their 3-game homestand on Tuesday, September 18th at 4 PM when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College in their first ECC game of the season.
