Knights Women's Soccer Earns Hard-Fought Win Over Chestnut Hill

Philadelphia, PA (September 12th, 2012)- The Knights women's soccer team survived a tough contest on the road against an aggressive Chestnut Hill team to win 2-0 and move to 3-1-1 on the 2012 season.

Both teams fought hard for possession early on, with the score knotted at 0-0 until senior Sarah Boucher (#3) once again stepped up with a long-range strike from the left side that found the upper right side of the goal to put QC ahead 1-0.

The Knights netted their second goal of the game after freshman Nicolette Scrozzo (#9) crossed the ball to junior transfer Emma Ylias (#8) for the put-in and her first goal as a Knight. Goalkeeper Alli Breakey, who survived a mid-game tackle, made 4 saves and earned her third win of the year, shutting out her opponent for the third time this season.

The Knights return to action on the road in Nyack, N.Y. on Monday September 17th at 4 PM.
