Box Score
MANCHESTER, N.H. – A slow start to the first half of play ultimately did in the Queens College men's soccer team Wednesday afternoon at Melucci Field, as the Knights (2-5) dropped a 3-0 non-conference decision at Saint Anselm College.
The Hawks (3-3-2) got on the board in the fourth minute of play, when Bruno DaSilva converted a left-to-right feed from Keesen Howe to open the scoring.
Howe scored from the top of the box in the 13th minute to double the Hawks' lead, before Maximillian Glebocki scored off a long throw-in with just under 10 minutes to play in the opening half.
Queens, which was outshot by only a 14-12 count, received strong midfield play on the day from Scott Lamont (Edinburgh, Scotland), according to head coach Carl Christian. Senior keeper Demetrios Touros (Bellerose, N.Y.) stopped a season-high-tying five shots in net for the Knights, who open up East Coast Conference play Saturday afternoon at Mercy, in a 3 p.m. kick-off.
