Katherine Colon scored twice in the first half to spark Queens College to a 4-1 victory over the Cougars of Caldwell College on Wednesday afternoon in the Knights home opener. Chenelle Geoffroy and Brittany Silipo added second half goals for QC, who improved to 1-2 in 2010.

The Knights got off to a rough start, allowing Caldwell to take a 1-0 lead just 2:05 into the contest on a goal by Julie Crankshaw. Colon answered twice for QC to erase Caldwell's lead, with her first goal coming at 19:09. Caitlin Gracia's cross from the left wing found Colon center-right and Colon put a low shot past Lauren Hoenig to knot the score at 1. Then at 36:16, Kirri Bolton found Colon at the right post and Colon headed the ball in to give the Knights the lead for good.

Chenelle Geoffroy put the home team up by two goals with a nice individual effort at 56:30 and Brittany Silipo (pictured) closed out the scoring with a header off of a Gracia corner kick to make the final score 4-1 in QC's favor.
