Stoker scores twice in 3-2 win at Nyack

Danny Stoker scored the first two Knights' goals in a 3-2 win over Nyack College on Tuesday afternoon in a non-league game. Akinyode Dele added the game winner for QC, who won for the first time this season.

The 2009 ECC Rookie of the Year opened the scoring for QC when he beat Nyack goalkeeper Jodell Wright on a penalty kick in the game's 26th minute. Stoker then doubled the Knights advantage at the 41:47 mark on an unassisted effort.

It remained a 2-0 game until the 72nd minute when Felix Horn got Nyack back within a goal off of assists from Gavin Penny and Ryan Campo. Just 45 seconds later, Dele answered from inside the box to restore QC's two goal lead but Andriy Pozdniadkov's goal with 3:36 gave the Knights reason to sweat. However, QC managed to keep Nyack off the board the rest of the way to pick up their first victory of the season.

Dario Cabanas made eight saves to backstop QC in a winning effort.
