Akinyode Dele's goal with 1:25 left in the game was the
difference in the Knights' 2-1 road win over Molloy College on
Saturday. Danny Stoker assisted on the goal and added another one
to enable QC to even their ECC record at 2-2-1.
The Knights held Molloy without a shot over the first 45 minutes
while taking six of their own but went to the intermission tied at
0-0. Tyler Iocco and Kevin Vazquez came close to changing that,
with each htting a goal post in the first half.
Stoker finally got QC on the board, placing a free kick in the
lower right hand side of the net with 4:57 expired in the second
half for his seventh of the season. Molloy drew even at the 60:22
mark when another free kick resulted in a goal by Jovani Ramos.
With less than two minutes remaining in regualtion, Stoker
directed a cross from the right corner towards the net that found
Dele, who headed the ball past Molloy goalkeeper Michael Hunter for
the game winning goal.
