Gmuca Placed on East Coast Conference Cross Country Weekly Honor Roll

FLUSHING, N.Y. (Oct. 10, 2018) - On the same day that men's cross country runner Clivensky Etienne earned East Coast Conference Honor Roll praises, Simone Gmuca of the Queens College women's cross country team was placed on the ECC's Weekly Honor Roll for Cross Country as well. That honor came on Tuesday (Oct. 9) in a release from the conference office.

One week after leading the Knights to a team victory at the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational, Gmuca once again led Queens to a top-ten performance at the Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday. The junior finished in 52nd place with a time of 20:10, a time that was better than nearly half the field of Division I runners at the same invitational.

Gmuca and the Knights will travel with Etienne and the men's team to Sunken Meadow State Park on Saturday (Oct. 13) for the St. Joseph's (LI) Invitational.
