ROCKVILLE CENTER, N.Y. - The Queens College women's soccer team finished its 2016 season with a 4-1 loss to the Lions of Molloy College (7-8-2 overall, 4-3-1 ECC) in conference action Sunday afternoon.
The Knights found themselves down in the fifth minute of play as Danielle Valente dribbled into the box to beat junior Megan Deak. Classmate Alexis Qualle tied the match in the eighth minute with her first goal of the season as she beat her defender and found the top corner of the net. The Lions retook the lead as Gabrielle Batista tapped in a goal off a Courtney Noakes free kick in the 19th minute.
Molloy added two more goals in the second half to close out the match 4-1. The Knights were outshot 28-6 in the match. Deak finished with seven saves on the day as she split time at the net with senior Kimberly Chacko, who played the final 20 minutes of the game.
Under first year head coach Nicole Pacapelli, the Knights finished with a 4-12-1 overall record and 1-6-1 in ECC play.
