NEW HAVEN, CT - In cloudy conditions, the Queens College women's soccer team (2-6) was defeated 1-0 by the Owls of Southern Connecticut State (4-4-1) in a non-conference tilt Tuesday afternoon.

In what was a scoreless battle as the game headed towards the end of regulation, the Owls were able to find the back of the net in the 81st minute as Victoria Conde was able to curve the ball to the left corner for the win eight yards out.  The Knights were held shot less for the first time this season as the Owls took 21 shots but were only able to land five shots on goal.

UP NEXT: The Knights return to conference (1-1 ECC) action Friday afternoon, Sept. 30 when they take on the Wildcats of Daemen College (3-3-1 overall, 1-1 ECC) with kickoff slated for 1:00 pm.
