Women's Basketball Rises to No. 10 in WBCA National Poll

LILBURN, Ga. – The Queens College women's basketball team climbed to No. 10 in the NCAA Division II WBCA Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Tuesday. The Knights picked up 343 points in the poll to move up four spots from a week ago.

Queens (24-3) has won 16 games in a row and has not suffered a loss since Dec. 13. The Knights won the East Coast Conference (ECC) Regular Season Championship after finishing 17-1 in conference play this season.

In the Knights' only game last week, they wrapped up the regular season with an 84-66 victory at Daemen College. Senior Madison Rowland was named ECC Player of the Week for her 23-point, 13-rebound performance in the win.

Queens earned the top seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming ECC Championship. The two-time defending conference champion Knights will take on the winner of fourth-seeded Roberts Wesleyan College/fifth-seeded NYIT on Saturday, March 4, at noon in the semifinals.
