Valeriano Named ECC Softball Player of the Week

WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Mar. 12, 2018) - Dominance at the dish and command in the circle earned Queens College softball's ToniMarie Valeriano the nod for ECC Player of the Week on Monday (Mar. 12).

Valeriano collected eight hits and five RBI at the plate, hitting .421 to open the season. This included a 3-for-5 performance with two runs batted in against New Haven in a 9-0 season-opening win over the Chargers. Valeriano then collected two hits in back-to-back games including in an 8-0 five-inning victory over Saint Michael's on Mar. 10 in which she also twirled a no-hitter with seven strikeouts.

The QC softball team takes on West Virginia Tech and Silver Lake College on Wednesday (Mar. 14) to conclude the team's Florida trip.
