FLUSHING, N.Y. (Sept. 6, 2018) - The Queens College cross country and track and field teams, along with the Knights' men's basketball team, were out on Wednesday (Sept. 5) welcoming students back for the first day of the new school year at P.S. 201Q in Flushing.
The Knights were out in the early-morning humidity in an event organized by QC cross country/track and field head coach Robert Davis. As students and parents made their way into the school building, they were greeted by a tunnel of cheering student-athletes who would also spread words of encouragement to the young students on their first official day of the 2018-19 year. With the cross country and track teams on one side of the building and the men's basketball team on the other side of the building, the students at P.S. 201Q were welcomed into the new school year with high-fives and "good luck" wishes before the school bell rang to commence the first day.
