FLUSHING, N.Y. - Queens College sophomore Moustafa Ibrahim established a near school record in one-meter diving in the men's swimming and diving team's opening season tri-meet against Adelphi and Baruch. The Knights were outscored 68-36 by the Panthers and 53-51 by the Bearcats.
Over the two rounds of competition, Ibrahim totalled a score of 513.35, besting the previous mark.
In the 50 free, senior Matthew Stypulkowski took first with a time of 22.34. Stypulkowski also placed first in the 100 free with a time of 50.82. He later placed second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.09.
Joseph Mo took second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.79. Louis Alers took second in the 100 fly with a time of 53.26, and second in the 200 free with a time of 1:53.91. Alers also took second in the 100 backstroke (58.24).
The Knights are back in action Nov. 15 against York College in a meet held at the College of New Rochelle.
