WEST BABYLON, N.Y. (Nov. 27, 2017) - Following a 31-point outburst for the Queens College men's basketball team on Sunday (Nov. 26), the East Coast Conference awarded Knights freshman Elijah Bovell a spot on its Weekly Honor Roll for men's basketball on Monday (Nov. 27).
Bovell punished Holy Family on Sunday (Nov. 26) despite the Knights' falling in a 97-90 performance to the Tigers. The freshman shot 11-for-18 (61%) from the field and hit seven three-pointers en route to a 31-point showing for Queens. Bovell also pulled down three rebounds and added two steals against Holy Family. In earlier action versus Felician on Nov. 22, Bovell had six points, five rebounds and three assists.
The Queens College men's basketball team returns to action on Wednsday (Nov. 29) when Adelphi visits Fitzgerald Gymnasium for a 7:30 p.m. showdown in Flushing. The contest between the Knights and the Panthers is the second game in the celebration of "Military, Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night" at Queens College.
